Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and accurate billing to clients.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring financial performance against targets and identifying areas for improvement.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including VAT filings and other statutory requirements.
- Expense Management: Monitor company expenses, perform regular audits, and implement cost-saving initiatives where necessary.
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll calculations, ensuring accuracy in employee payments and adherence to legal requirements.
- Reconciliations: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and manage the company’s financial accounts, reviewing transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, identifying trends and potential risks.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial data.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Knowledge of UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
